Hi everyone, just spoke with team (had to do our weekly call early this morning for me since we were not able to find a right time for it in the week (mostly my fault since in quite busy with my day job lately). The summary is quite simple, as you may noticed we release the TOR update last week (for our 3rd anniversary) so it means that zoidberg is now free to fully work over zarcanum with sowle. The ones that watch the github might have noticed there is a Zarcanum branch in there now (and also a zarcanum tx that zoidberg works on). The zarcanum work is DEEP changes into the core structure of zano transactions, this will mostly impact every single features of zano. Some might remember us talking about this but this means that in order to release faster we will probably disable the escrow contract for the time being and it will be reactived in a second release. THis allow team to avoid focusing on complex parts such as multi-sig for now. I think we should probably do an AMA over zarcanum next week if any of you are interested about knowing more and how it will impact them, since it changes the core structure of tx it also means that we will most likely have a new zano address scheme and in order for people to be able to have hidden amounts they will probably have to send their coins to this new address (same private key just a new transaction structure). This is mostly what team is working over and i believe we might all have alot of questions regarding this exciting upgrade. Also while team is working over that, they will mostly touch every corner of the code and will do refactoring at the same time to enhance the quality of the code, make it easier to read, easier to maintain which would lead to less possible bugs. We dont want to end up with some spaghetti code (not gonna throw project names here...)

Here is our last weekly call summary guys, trying to keep this short and as focused as possible... Zoidberg: TOR implementation is finished and in github, the simplewallet can already be used for those who runs a node in console. As for GUI wallet, its in the hand of the GUI dev which is hard to provide an ETA since hes in ukraine as some might know and he works when hes not running from bombing (what a awful way to work), still he did a few days of work this weeks and is probably quite close to deliver his tasks. Sowle: As for swole he was working over the extended bulletproof (as required by zarcanum) and he choose to rollback a bit and to start refactoring the current implementation of the original BP, the reason for this is its a bit messy and a good refactor was needed to make the code clearer and more modular, this way it would be easier to extend to the extended version of it. The refactoring is complete and has been proven against other implementation (such as monero), in order to compare they takes inputs from the running implementation and compare our outputs with the other implementations, which has been confirmed. As for the extended version of it, its a bit trickier (thus why it needed to be refactored) since there is no other implementation out there of this BP version. We know that FIRO will be using the same implementation as we do for their privacy tech, so when FIRO has complete it we will be able to compare the inputs/outputs just like we did for the original one. Pavel: Still exploring the way over who we could provide support for different wrapped tokens over different chains without duplicating infrastructure, which would make it more stable, more usable and also more scalable. Also i will be working with pavel to test out the "marketplace templates" that they have designed and if this works well with the GUI wallet we could demo this into our next AMA. They are still in talk with the marketting firm that thet spot last week and see how we could collaborate together (and have an official offer). I've also proposed to compensate a few loyal members in our community to help them stimulate the community a bit more, we all know we need to keep this more active and we have very loyal members already, just need to give him a little push so their time aint just sitting on faith. Im also looking into setting up a zano marketplace to demo our features and also sell some zano goods for those of you who has been asking.

Andrey: For TOR support the simplewallet will be finished this week and an internal release will be build to test this among us by next week. The GUI wallet requires some modifications from the GUI designer as well (since it will have a switch to turn it off and it will be turned on by default), we will probably also have a visual cue to indicate that we are over a secured network as well. This step could have some delay because the person doing this is located in ukraine he still work when he has internet and power, we talked to him last week and he said he could still do it (actually he said he NEED to do this since he need the money and we can understand why). Sowle: He is finally back in montenegro since yesterday, he was stucked in russia for the last 2 weeks and was trying to find a way to get back to the office, which he managed to do. Hes now focusing 100% at zarcanum implementation and can do a long way over it without the need of andrey (so he can finish TOR and anything else that would be needed). Pavel: He is exploring ways to support other types of wrapped token and also exploring liquidity pool and liquidity farming (some people will be happy with this!), Current wrapped token is locked at 100k token and that supply is completly taken right now and the way its done is us running an ethereum bridge on our servers which means that if we had to support other tokens we would have to replicate this infrastructure for each, which we think is a bad way to scale. He is exploring other technology that could allow to support multiple types of wrapped tokens without fracturing the liquidity. He found something that he believes will be very hot in the future and hes looking into it, at this stage we wont name that tech that he exoloring since it could change at anytime. But the team intent is to allow the support of several tokens and LPs farming so people can leverage the value of their own assets and use it for farming if thats what they want. We will test the marketplace template this week and next week and we will also start working over a small zano marketplace that would sell a few zano branded merchandise so community can acquire branded items if they feel like it and can also test out the marketplace features. We hope to present this in the next AMA or the next one if there's too much delay over this. As for marketting, team is already exploring a small farm that was proposed by friends that is already experienced with crypto, we are having a few calls with them and will see what type of work thet can do and if we can afford them without shooting ourselves in he foot. Also team agreed to a proposition that ive made to allocate a small budget to hire some community members to an "ambassador" role. That role would simply be to commit to be more active into community and social media and share their knowledge and introduce privacy related discussions, we will be looking to hire a few people for this and you can reach me if you want to be part of it. If your goal is to make money over this you will be disappointed and should not apply for it, the point is simply to incentivize people that are already involved and would be willing to be more active in exchange of a small compensation, nothing more...
